It is with great sadness that we learned Dr. Emily Zhao (Pitt Ortho '20) passed away on August 17. 2022, after a two year battle with cancer. Emily graduated from the Pitt orthopaedic surgery residency program in 2020 and was also a graduate of Pitt Medical School. Following her residency, she finished a foot and ankle fellowship at Rush and was in Boston at the time of her passing.
We send our condolences to her husband, Dr. Adam Olsen (Pitt Ortho '19), another Pitt Ortho alumnus, along with her family, and we mourn her passing with the PittOrtho family.
