Dr. Alan E. Wilson is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in primary hip and knee replacement, direct anterior approach hip replacement, robotic partial and total knee replacement, and complex revision hip and knee replacement. He is an assistant professor of orthpaedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Wilson graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh, and subsequently earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Orthpaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he served as an administrative chief resident and was awarded Outstanding Senior Resident for his graduating class. Following residency, he completed specialized training with a fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction at the renowned Rothman Orthopaedic Institute of Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Wilson has published numerous articles, and book chapters and presents his research nationally. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeon.
