UPMC-PittOrtho Welcomes Dr. Ronald A. Navarro as First Grand Rounds Speaker of the 2026-2027 Academic Year

The University of Pittsburgh Department of Orthopaedic Surgery was pleased to welcome back UPMC-PittOrtho alumni Ronald A. Navarro, M.D., as the first Grand Rounds guest speaker of the 2026-2027 academic year.

Dr. Navarro, Director of Clinical Affairs and Professor at the Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine, spoke with faculty, staff and residents on the future of orthopaedics and the importance of providing high-quality care to the diverse patient populations orthopedic surgeons serve every day.

In addition to his Grand Rounds presentation, Dr. Navarro generously spent additional time with our residents, delivering a special session on research examining surgical irrigation in shoulder arthroplasty.

We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Navarro for returning to Pittsburgh and contributing to the educational mission of our department. We look forward to welcoming him back in the future!
