UPMC Ireland Hosts Annual Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Conference

Nearly 400 delegates gathered this past weekend in Croke Park, Dublin for the Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Conference, hosted by UPMC Ireland Orthopaedic Care. Delegates were welcomed by UPMC Ireland Managing Director Eamonn Fitzgerald and were treated to a weekend full of research and discussions from top orthopaedic and sports medicine professionals from across the globe. Olympic champion Rhys McClenaghan, the first gymnast to win an Olympic medal for Ireland, inspired conference attendees with his story on how he reached Gold in Paris earlier this year.

Drs. Albert Lin, MaCalus Hogan, and Alicia Trbovich led talks in their specific areas of expertise, including shoulder and foot and ankle injuries in elite athletes, and targeted treatment for sport-related concussions. We look forward to meeting with our Ireland counterparts again next year. Sláinte!
