We are thrilled to share news from the International Federation of Foot & Ankle Societies (IFFAS) meeting, held this past week in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Dr. Jarrett Cain and the Foot and Ankle Injury Research (FAIR) team brought home the IFFAS Top Basic Science Research President's Award.
The International Federation of Foot and Ankle Societies (IFFAS) was established in October 1999 to increase cooperation among orthopedic foot and ankle societies around the world. The IFFAS is now a globally representative organization in the field of foot and ankle joint medical treatment.
Dr. Cain and the FAIR team's paper "Fully Reduced HMGB1 Enhances Nonunion Fracture Healing in Diabetic Rat Model" won the President's Prize for Best Research Paper at the meeting this year. This award is given in recognition of the outstanding international papers presented at the IFFAS 2024. Nominated studies are judged by the Scientific Committee of IFFAS. Congratulations to all!
