The 2025 Herodicus Society meeting, held in Salzburg, Austria, marked another strong showing for UPMC and Pitt Orthopaedic Care teams.
We’re proud to share that Dr. Volker Musahl has been tapped to serve as the new Chair of the Herodicus Nominating Committee. Congratulations are also in order for alumni Drs. Armando Vidal and Brian Forsythe, who were welcomed as new members of the Society.
PittOrtho alumna Dr. Stephanie Boden was recognized as one of three 2025 Herodicus Traveling Fellowship recipients. She highlighted her three-week national tour at the meeting, which included stops at leading orthopaedic programs in Vail, Phoenix, and St. Louis. Dr. Boden, a former PittOrtho resident, now serves as an orthopaedic surgeon at the University of Louisville with a focus in sports medicine and shoulder surgery.
