Pitt Ortho at OTA 2021 Annual Meeting

Pitt Ortho was well represented at the Orthopaedic Trauma Association’s 2021 Annual Meeting in Fort Worth, TX. Dr. Richard Wawrose, a PGY5 in the super chief track, was honored with a podium presentation at the meeting titled “Does Hindfoot Nailing Decrease Unplanned Return to the OR After Geriatric Open Ankle Fracture?”

The trauma experience during residency here at Pitt is second-to-none, with operative responsibilities at two level I trauma centers under the direction of Drs. Ivan Tarkin and Peter Siska at UPMC Presbyterian and Drs. Gele Moloney and Aaron Taylor at UPMC Mercy. Three of our 2022 graduating chiefs are heading to top trauma fellowships across the country!
