The University of Pittsburgh Athletics Department and the Pitt Panthers Football Team honored Dr. Freddie Fu during the nationally televised Pitt vs Virginia Tech game at Heinz Field on Thursday evening, October 27th. The game was televised on ESPN at 7 PM ET.
Pitt Athletics celebrates Dr. Fu’s anniversary as head team physician for the Athletic Department and his service as the team’s lead physician for the past 30 years.
During the third quarter of the game, Dr. Fu was escorted onto the field for an announcement and video tribute. In addition, Dr. Fu joined students in the Panther Pitt for the traditional singing of “Sweet Caroline.” (Video)
