Congratulations to Dr. Gele Moloney on being awarded the 2022 UPMC Physician APP Champion of the Year!
Since 2021, Dr. Moloney was the Co-Chief of the Division of Orthopaedic Trauma at UPMC Mercy. In January 2022, she was promoted to Chief of Orthopaedics at UPMC Mercy.
Dr. Moloney was nominated by her APP team for her tireless dedication to their practice and the countless hours of education she provides to APPs, APP students, Ortho residents, Podiatry residents, and medical students.
In recognition of her teaching, the 2020 graduating class presented The Golden Apple Award for Teaching Excellence to Dr. Moloney. The Golden Apple is awarded for the most outstanding contribution to Resident Education in Orthopaedic Surgery and is selected by the graduating Orthopaedic Surgery Residents.
