Dr. Crossett Retirement

Congratulations to Dr. Lawrence Crossett on his retirement!

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Lawrence Crossett who will retire from the faculty on October 2, 2020.  A member of the faculty since October 1990, Dr. Crossett is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Adult Reconstruction and has been a vital member of our department for 30 years!  He served as Chief of the Adult Reconstructive Surgery from October 1990 through August 2019.  He was the first surgeon in the department to move his practice to UPMC Shadyside and established the practice as regional referral center for joint replacement and reconstruction surgery.  He has received the Department’s Golden Apple award in 1993, 2012, and 2019 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to resident education.  He has been consistently named one of America’s Top Doctors by Castle Connolly and one of Pittsburgh’s Top Doctors by Pittsburgh Magazine.

I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Crossett for his many years of service in our department.  The division of adult reconstruction had much success under his guidance and leadership.  Please join me in wishing Dr. Crossett and Nancy a long and enjoyable retirement!
