Dr. Amanda McCoy was the invited as a visiting professor for the Columbia University Department of Orthopaedics on January 26, 2023. The title of her talk was, "Caring for Pediatric Osteomyelitis in a Resources-Limited Setting: Making the Connection Between Local and Global Health Equity in Pediatric Orthopaedics.”
Dr. McCoy discussed some of her experiences working as an orthopaedic surgeon at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet, Kenya. She also presented aspects of her ongoing research projects involving geo-spatial relationships with pediatric orthopaedic conditions.
