Dr. Ozgur Dede, Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at UPMC Children's, was recently invited to speak at the 4th Cerebral Palsy Symposium hosted by Istanbul University. The symposium, in its fourth year, is hosted and organized by the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology of Istanbul University. Cerebral Palsy is a group of disorders that affect the brain and nervous system, causing issues with movement, coordination and posture. A multidisciplinary approach to treatment, along with early intervention, help patients with Cerebral Palsy improve their quality of life.
Dr. Dede’s talk on "Surgical Decision and Timing in The Treatment of Neuromuscular Scoliosis" was given virtually to the symposium, held in Istanbul, Turkey, on Saturday, October 19.
