University of Pittsburgh’s right tackle, Jaryd Jones-Smith’s extraordinary comeback story

It was on June 25, 2015 when life as Jaryd Jones-Smith knew it almost changed forever. The 325 pound Pitt offensive lineman was jogging off the field at the team's South Side complex when he blew out his knee so spectacularly that doctors would later tell him his injuries mimicked those sustained by car wreck victims.  Within minutes after the injury occured, team physician, Dr. Volker Musahl was at his side.
