Dr. Rocky Tuan receives the 2016 Clemson Award

Congratulations to Dr. Rocky Tuan on receiving the 2016 Clemson Award for Contributions to the Literature from the Society for Biomaterials.

The official award presentation was made at the World Biomaterials Congress in Montreal in May 2016. As an awardee, Dr. Tuan receives a $1,000 award from Clemson University and travel support to attend the Congress.

Nominated by colleagues, the Clemson Award for Contributions to the Literature is presented to the candidate who has made significant contributions to the literature on the science or technology of biomaterials.

Dr. Tuan is a Distinguished Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Director of the Cellular and Molecular Engineering Lab. He is also the Executive Vice Chairman for Orthopaedic Research and serves as the Arthur J. Rooney, Sr. Chair Professor in Sports Medicine. He is the Associate Director of the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine and the Director for the Center for Military Research. He also holds a secondary appointment as a Professor within the Department of Bioengineering.
